The ongoing shortage of semiconductor chips and supply chain problems have made it difficult to produce cars this year. The 2022 Maverick production began at the Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant, the first week of September. Rumors claim that the production of the 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid will be affected by these shortages. However, it is not yet confirmed if this is true. Apparently, this information was sent to dealers via a scheduling bulletin. It is not clear how severe or how long this disruption will last. Although the automaker might be able at least to fulfill orders that have been placed, those who want to buy the highly-anticipated, $20k base Maverick will most likely have to wait.
